Tips for Ageless Beauty

      Though some people get older, their skin still glows as young. For maintaining such a glowing skin instead of spending on expensive beauty products follow some of their beauty tips.

    • Cleansing  everyday is compulsory. It doesn't mean that applying a little cleanser and washing it immediately is not advisable. Massage the cleanser on the skin for a minute and then wash with warm water. Creamy cleanser are the best.
    • Small wrinkles on the face and stretch marks can be reduced by using night cream with vitamin 'A'. These creams increase the production of collagen to reduce wrinkles. Some people are allergic to these night creams. In this case, apply moisturizer on the face and after half an hour apply night cream.
    • Omega-3 fatty acids, anti-oxidants rich foods should be taken highly. Nuts ,green leafy veggies, green tea are rich in these nutrients. By eating these nutritious foods, skin rashes can be avoided. Daily exercise keeps the skin healthy. By doing exercise, blood flow throughout the skin will be done so the skin looks fresh and ageless.
    • Stress increases ageing of the skin. Pimples also start with it. To stop this problem, sleeping for 8 hours is compulsory.
    • Sunscreen plays an important role in protecting our skin from sun. Applying the sunscreen once in the morning is not enough whether you be in the sun or not, applying sunscreen for every 2 or 3 hours is recommended.

Beauty in your Hands

  • Dark circles, pimples, scars.. If this is the case, first identify the problem. Find out the type of your skin whether it is dry, normal or oily type. After determining your skin type, steps for prevention are to be taken. Lack of nutritious food, good sleep results in skin problems. So eat fresh fruits, green veggies in large amounts.
  • Dirt and uncleanliness also gets us skin problems. So dead cells are to be removed. Before going to sleep, clean with a cleanser and scrub your skin at least once in a week to avoid small skin problems.
  • Whatever the fruit you eat, apply some of it to the face. Nutrients in the fruits makes the skin smooth.
  • Exercising is also one solution. Daily morning walk for half an hour and do skipping. 7-8 Hours of sleep is a must. So that cells will rejuvenate.

Orange for beauty

Whatever may your skin color be, but by taking care your skin can glow beautifully. Enhance your skin color a little also. Homemade facemasks shown as below can do the work for you.



Milk powder - 1 tea spoon
Honey           - 1 tea spoon
Lemon juice  - 1 teaspoon
Almond(Badam) oil - half tea spoon

Mix all these ingredients and apply it to face and rest for 15 minutes and clean it. Doing this frequently, skin tan will be removed and skin glows.


Mix oatmeal powder in tomato juice and apply it on the face and rest for 20 minutes and clean it with cold water.



Gram flour (Besan) - 1 spoon 
Unboiled milk          - 2 spoons
Lemon juice            - 2 to 3 drops

Mix all these ingredients well and apply it on the areas where black spots are there. After 15 minutes wash it off . This mixture reduces blackness and enhances skin color. Do it weekly once for four weeks as a face pack for good results.


            Orange skin powder is made by drying the orange skin in shaded sunlight rather than to direct sunlight, which reduces the effectiveness. Now powder the dried orange skin and keep it in an airtight container.

            Take this orange skin powder and mix it with little milk and make it to a paste and apply on face. After it gets dried, wash with warm water. Dark skin people, try this pack daily for glowing skin.

  • If you have the habit of complaining on your co-employees frequently then reduce it immediately. Happily and playful working employees keep such type of complaining coworkers at a distance. Same concept works for gossips too. Frequently gossiping employees are working along with you, try to keep away from them as possible as it could be.
  • While commenting on co-employees working style, try to find out how their ideas work in real. 
  • If you are talking in a conference, first try to tell positive things and then tell the defects in work. Doing this creates good relation among employees.
  • Working without any plan, makes the work boring after sometime. To avoid such condition, take care from the first itself. Be updated in various topics. Be creative while working.

Shine with coconut milk

Shining beauty
        To enhance your beauty, you don't need to always run to the beauty parlor  Coconut milk which is easily available at home will help to bring out the shining beauty in you.

  • Mixture of coconut milk and curd is to be applied on the face. Leave it for five minutes and rub it off with a clean cotton cloth gently. After that wash your face by sprinkling cold water and clean it. By doing this dead cells and dirt accumulated on the face can be removed.
  • Natural Make-up Remover:
  1. Coconut milk - 2 spoons
  2. Olive oil          - 4 spoons

Mix the ingredients and refrigerate by keeping them in an air tight container. You can use it as make-up remover. This should be consumed within a week.

  • Homemade face pack:

  1. Coconut milk - 2 spoons
  2. Red Sandalwood powder - 1 tea spoon
  3. Saffron - little
  4. Honey
Mix all the above, and apply it to face and neck in gentle massaging movements. Doing this frequently, makes the skin shine longer.
  • Natural tan remover:
Skin willbe tanned to reddish color by roaming in sun. At that time, take 
  1. coconut milk - 1 cup
  2. rose water - 1/2 cup
Mix it in a bottle and refrigerate. Immediately after coming from outside, sprinkle some of this mixture and leave it for half an hour. Skin is refreshed and tan will also decrease.

Storage tips

  • In toordal and rice add few neem leaves or dried coconut pieces. By doing this they can be stored for long time.
  • Adding some cloves to dry fruits will increase the shelf life.

  • Roasting the bombay ravva in a pan helps storage for longer time.
  • Adding pepper cons or rice to camphor avoids vaporization of camphor.
  • While making ghee, add beetil leaves or fennel seeds. Smells great and helps for longer storage.
  • keep inger in sand and sprinkle water often, the ginger will be fresh.
  • In biscuits box, keep blotting paper or four pepper cons for keeping them fresh and crispy.
  • Keep a piece of hinge in coriander powder, sambhar powder and rasam powder or garam masala powder then it will help for longer storage.

Beauty with Lemon:

Lemon lessens scars on the face and also gives shine to it. For every skin type we can make different facials with lemon.

For normal skin:

               If the skin is not too dry or too oily then it is called normal skin. People with this type of skin, take 
               lemon juice -  1 spoon
               moong dal   -  1 tea spoon
               Rose water  -  little
Mix all these and make it to a paste and apply to the face. The moong dal powder removes the dirt over skin and lemon smooth-ens the skin. Rose water gives coolness.

For dry skin:

People with dry skin take 
                Olive oil - 1 tea spoon
                Honey    - 1 tea spoon
                lemon     - few drops
Mix all the ingredients. First clean the face with a cleanser (unboiled milk is a good cleanser) and then apply the above mixture, massage for 2 to 3 minutes and leave it. In this lemon juice, honey makes the skin fair and olive oil acts like a moisturizer.

For oily skin:

In a bowl take,
                   Multani mitti - 1 tea spoon
                   Rose water     - 2 spoons
                   Lemon juice   - 1 tea spoon
                   water               - 1 tea spoon
Mix them all to a paste. Now apply it on face. This face pack cleans the oil on the skin and makes the face look fresh.

Success with four

If you want to grow in your selected career, in addition to personal skills you also need to follow some rules.

  1. Ability to speak in the public may not be a great skill if you don't have active listening capability. These are called listening skills. It should not be just for the sake of others you should listen carefully. Give chance for others to speak instead of judging others. In meetings try to give respect to others views also.
  2. Concrete planning will bring success one or the other day. To achieve this, plan for small or achievable goals. Frequently monitor your goals and try to achieve those. If you come across issues in achieving your goals, try to confront them instead of passing the goal itself.
  3. When you run into problems, instead of fear, your should increase on the exposure in different ways of solving the problem.This can only be achieved through positive thinking. You might come across unpredictable problems for which you may not find solution at that moment. Then you shouldn't stress out yourself from inside, instead take help from others.
  4. Few people don't grab opportunities as it might increase their workload. However when you want to grow up on the ladder, you move forward  grabbing the opportunities. Show your interest in the new work. However be careful in taking the work. Don't take all the work and later run into problems for not able to complete the work on time. Be selective and clear in the opportunities you pick.

  • It avoids liver cancer.
 Nutrients in peanuts benefits everyone but people with thyroid, heart diseases, kidney related health problems must watch the quantity of intake of peanuts.

Reuse the vegetable waste


Daily while cooking, we eat many vegetables. Some do not require removing skin of the vegetables. But some need to be peeled. Cucumber, ridge guard, beetroot etc., need to be peeled before cooking. This peeled skin can be used as a food material or beauty material or as antigerm.
1.   Keep cucumber skin in the places where ants roam. You won’t see them again in that area.
2.  Mix apple skin, water melon seeds to a paste. To this add some milk and apply it to face and wash it after 5hrs. for glowing face.
3.     Keep skin of pomegranate in boiling water. Cool the water and gargle this water 2 or 3 times a day to avoid bad breathe.
4.  Keep onion skin near bulbs and tube lights to avoid mosquitoes.
5.  Add lemon skin to the bathing water for sometime and bath with that water to avoid itching of the skin.
6.  Cardamom skins, rather throwing in waste, add it to tea for great taste and smell.
7.   Take lemon, Orange and citrus fruit skins dry in the sun and make it to a powder. Sieve it along with bath powder. Use it for bathing for smooth and glowing skin. It also prevents skin diseases.
8.Rub the beetroot skin on the lips to reduce blackness of the lips.
9.  Take sun dried lemon skin powder, neem seeds powder or neem leaves powder. Now sprinkle in the book shelves to avoid germs.
10.Lemon, orange and skins are to be dried in the sun and powder them. Add shikakai and soap nut powder to this. Wash your hair with this for healthy hair. It also prevents whitening of hair.
11.Take ridge guard, chilies, cumin seeds, salt. Now crush all these in a dhinchuk and sundry as vadas. Whenever you want deep fry in oil. This goes well with sambhar rice.
12.Jackfruit seeds can be roasted and eaten for great taste and nutrition.
13.Crush the jackfruit seeds and remove skin. Now make it to small pieces and make curry or chutney with them or they can be added to sambhar and other curries also.
14.Chewing orange skin reduces tooth ache and mouth ulcers.
15. Take garlic skin and dried red chilly waste and make powder, add turmeric powder and sprinkle on four corners of the room and back of the door to prevent worms from entering the house.
16.Ripen bitter guard and tondli can be used for chutney by mixing tamarind, jaggery(for bitterguard only), tadka ingredients(chillies, garlic, cumin and mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves).
17.Dried lady finger and cluster beans can be used again by soaking them in salt water for one day and drain the water. Now cut in to pieces and sun dry them. Whenever you want take a few and deep fry and sprinkle some chilly powder. This tastes good with rice.
18.Take orange skin powder, sandal wood powder and little turmeric powder, milk and make it to a paste. Apply it to face in the night and wash it in the morning for a fair glowing skin.
19.Tender ridge guard and bottle guard skin can be steamed and fried in little oil. Now to this add little tamarind, fried chilies, roasted groundnut, garlic and salt. Now blend all these ingredients in a mixie to make chutney. This goes well with dosa or idli.
20.Used lemon and tamarind can be used to clean utensils.

Home made Facial

Homemade Facial
To make face glow, you need not run to a beauty parlor every time. It will be enough if you can try with home remedies.

Dip cotton in unboiled milk and rub your face so that dirt is gone. Doing it frequently makes the skin smooth. 


Take one tsp of orange juice, one tsp  of lemon juice and one cup of yogurt. Mix all these to a paste and apply the paste on your face leave it for 15 minutes. After that wipe it with a tissue. By doing this dry skin get moisturized which increases the skin glow.

Protein Mask:

Take 1 tbsp of black gram and 5-6 almond. Soak it over night and make a paste of that in the morning. Apply it on face, wash it after an hour. By doing this skin will get required nutrition.

Conditioner for Skin:

Take a tbsp of honey and add two tbsp of cream mix both and apply it on face and neck wash your face after few minutes.

Sunscreen Lotion:

Mix cucumber (keera) juice, glycerine, rose water and put into a tumbler. Store in refridgerator half an hour leaving home apply it as a sunscreen lotion . Due to this , there will less effect of sunshine.

Tips for beauty

  • For skin toning, Take Keera Juice and carrot juice in equal ratios. Mix them well and apply it on face.Wash it after 15 mins. For best results apply it regularly.
  • For Dark spots, take small piece of cabbage and make it into paste. Apply that paste on dark spots. After 10 mins wash it. For best results apply it regularly.
  • For dark circles around eyes, take aloe veera oil and add potato paste in it.Apply that paste around the eyes & leave it for 15 mins& wash it with cold water.
  • 4. For dandruff and lice in hair, take custard apple seeds & make those seeds into fine powder. Mix that powder in coconut oil and apply that oil on Hair.
  • For acne problems, take neem leaves & tulasi leaves. Make it into paste and apply it on face. Wash it after 10 mins. For best results apply it regularly.
  • For dead skin, take wheat Atta & sugar. Make it into paste and massage on your body with that paste. It will remove dead skin.
  • For kracks on legs & hands, take glycerine, lemon juice & rose water. Mix them well & apply it on the krack. Apply it regulary, your skin becomes soft.
  • For face glow, take 1 tsp of curd, 1tsp of basin flour,  1 pinch of turmeric & 1 tsp of milk. Mix them well and apply it as a mask on your face.For stretch marks,take 1tsp of Basin(senagapindi),1 tsp of milk or fresh cream,1 pinch of turmeric & 1 tsp of egg white. Mix them well and apply on the stretch marks.
  • For face glow, 1tsp of Basin(senagapindi),1 pinch of turmeric, 1 tsp of milk & 1 tsp of lemon. Mix them well and apply it as a mask on your face.
  • For stretch marks,take 1tsp of aloe veera oil, 2 tsps of olive oil,1 capsule vitamin E& 2 capsules vitamin A oil.Mix them well & apply on the stretch marks

  • The creams containing cynatin, vitamin 'A' and alpha hydroxy acids should be used for reducing wrinkles.
  • Harmonal imbalance also causes wrinkles. So timely sleep, nutritional food intake must not be neglected.
  • The area around the mouth must be kept moisturized all the time. If it is dry then wrinkles and lines will come. 
  • Taking care not only from the outside but also from inside is important. The food we take and drinking plenty of water prevent wrinkles.

Tired, here are reasons

If you are feeling tired suddenly then these may be the reasons:

  1. Drinking less water, causes dehydration. Due to this lack of concentration will be experienced and hence results in tiredness. Then drink two glasses of water at that time.
  2. Cell phones may also lead to tiredness. They act on the sleep hormone resulting in less sleepy nights which results in tiredness. So don't keep the cell near while sleeping.
  3. Exercising is a good stress buster. But doing it quickly leads to stress. So give some relax in between, while exercising.
  4. Iron deficiency also leads to tiredness. Daily if we are  not  receiving the required amount of iron then it leads to low blood levels. So iron rich food  has to be taken daily.

Fair glowing Knees and Elbows

         How fair you may be, your elbows and knees are dark in colour and thickened gradually. For avoiding such condition..... try this.

  1. Rub elbows and knees with lemon and leave it for 15  minutes. After that soak a towel in warm water and rub all the lemon applied  thoroughly. 
  2. Likewise, add one table spoon lemon juice to one tea spoon coconut oil and rub this mixture on your joints and as said above remove the applied mixture with warm towel.
  3. Add walnut powder to coconut oil and applying regularly gives good results.

Kitchen Tips 4 u

  • Fill warm water in a bowl up to 3/4th level. Place the honey bottle in the warm water for 5 minutes. By doing this the hardened honey will get liquefied. After that keep the bottle at dry or warm place. 
  • Keeping garlic in the microwave for sometime makes it easy to remove the skin easily.
  • By rolling the tomatoes in a paper and refrigerating them, allows them to stay fresh for few days.
  • Cooking in ceramic dishes enhances the taste of the food.
  • To remove the smell of the onions and garlic on the hands after cutting them, rub your hands to a stainless steel bowl then it will absorb the smell.
  •  While cutting beetroot, carrot etc., keeping them in microwave will make their cleaning easy.
  • When the lime becomes dry and stiff, soak it in warm water for two or three minutes, so that extracting juice would be easy.


Few women sitting still for sometime will experience backache. If this is neglected at the initial stages later this would increase the problem. Hence, taking some precautions can avoid simple backache.
          In the office avoid sitting in a single posture for a longer time. Move side to side in the chair frequently. Make sure once in a while towards one or the other side otherwise backbone will get stressed at a single point, further this might lead to health problems.       

  1. People who frequently experience backache should avoid lifting weights above the level of the head. Additionally, never lift heavy weights beyond your capacity not even for fun.    
  2. Sleeping posture is also one reason for the back pain. If you are the person sleeping on the tummy stressed. Make sure you keep a thin soft pillow near your tummy.
  3. Vitamin ‘D’ deficiency can also lead to backache. Daily morning standing in the sun can provide required vitamin ‘D’. Fish, milk, soya, eggs also give vitamin ‘D’. Sit on the swiss ball for 20 minutes. Doing this back muscle become stronger. Reduces the chances of getting pain. Doing crunch exercises regularly can avoid 75% of the backache problems

Smooth with Coconut Oil:


1. Apply some coconut oil on the wet skin after bath for a smoother skin and avoid dryness of skin.

2. Coconut oil has lauric acid which protects us from bacteria and viruses. For scratches, rashes and itching skin try this simple tip. Take one bucket of warm water, add little coconut oil and bath.

3. Mix coconut oil and baking soda in equal portions, massage this mixture on your face. Later wash with warm water. This helps remove the dead cells by acting like a scrub.

To avoid dandruff massage some warm coconut oil before going to bed and wash it in the morning.
